How it works
她有一个弟弟，还有一个妹妹 — she has a younger brother, and a younger sister as well.
This is close to 也, but 还 adds to what the same subject has or does, while 也 typically extends a statement to a new subject.

tā yǒu yí gè dì di, hái yǒu yí gè mèi mei
她有一个弟弟，还有一个妹妹。
She has a younger brother and a younger sister too.
wǒ hái xiǎng mǎi yí jiàn yī fu
我还想买一件衣服。
I also want to buy a piece of clothing.
tā huì shuō yīng wén, hái huì shuō rì wén

He speaks English, and Japanese as well.
