Expressing "will" with "hui"

The same 会 also predicts the future — "will", in the sense of likelihood.

会 + Verb

How it works

明天你会来吗? asks whether you'll come tomorrow. Here 会 says nothing about skill; it's about what's going to happen.

Context separates the two uses cleanly. 他会说中文 is about ability, 他会来 is about the future, and no one confuses them in practice.

This 会 leans towards prediction and likelihood rather than intention. For a plan you've decided on, 要 is more natural: 我要去.

    明天会下雨。
